Our observation of National Train Day 2010 was a success as we handed out Amtrak Timetables and literature about passenger trains. We even had our picture taken and published in the Ponca City News.

Please extend the Heartland Flyer to my home town of Ponca City, OK. I live in McKinney, TX now and would love to visit home via train instead of driving.
I have fond memories of my Sister taking the train from Ponca City to college in Norman, OK and my Mom and Dad taking it to Chicago in 1968.
It seems to me you are missing out on the college market and Norman footbal game market. Also the Downtown Oklahoma City and Remington Park Market.
And don’t forget making stops at the Casino’s.

I’ve never ridden a train and would love to start.

Dan, thank you for your comments from February 08. You hit on all the right points. It’s so refreshing when members of the public ‘get it’. We need all the supporters we can get, and may need your vocal support this legislative session.
